Workshops And Training For Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) In Yogyakarta

Yogyakarta City Hall, August 18 2017. Commanded by Prof. Dr. Nahiyah Jaidi and Setyabudi Indartono, Ph.D from the Management Study Program of FE UNY, 250 MSME entrepreneurs received briefings to improve their business and respond to government policies in encouraging MSMEs in the city of Yogyakarta. Mrs. Lusi, Head of the Yogyakarta City Industry and Cooperatives Service, opened this event by emphasizing the government's support for the development of MSMEs in the city of Yogyakarta very seriously. Various training and mentoring as well as empowerment are provided by the Yogyakarta city government so that MSMEs are increasingly developing.

Meanwhile, Prof. Nahiyah emphasized the importance of collaboration between academics, the business world (MSMEs) and the government in improving people's welfare. As the Head of the Center for Study and Business Incubation of UNY, he opens up wide opportunities for collaboration in developing MSMEs. As a credible pusdi, UNY has been trusted by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education in empowering and developing MSMEs. In 2017, Pusdi led by Prof. Nahiyah was trusted to manage funds of no less than 2 billion for MSME assistance. Meanwhile, Setyabudi Indartono, Ph.D emphasized the mental readiness of MSME business managers in facing global competition. Various knowledge, insight and business skills must always be improved.
