First Field Assessment of LAMEMBA in FE UNY

The Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics (FE) UNY is one of the favorite study programs in FE even at UNY. In 2021, more than 14 thousand people competed to be enrolled in this study program from various selection procedures. Therefore, the quality of teaching and human resources in study programs must continue to be improved. LAMEMBA (Independent Accreditation Institute for Economics, Business Management, and Accounting) is an institution appointed by the government to carry out the Accreditation process for study programs within the EMBA (Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting) scope.

This year, the S1 Management Study Program received a Field Assessment from LAMEMBA with assessor Prof. Dr. Hatane Semuel, M.S., from Petra Christian University Surabaya and Dony Abdul Chalid, S.E., M.M., Ph.D. from the University of Indonesia, last month. Dean of FE UNY Dr. Siswanto, M.Pd. along with the staff welcomed the arrival of assessors from LAMEMBA. "We are enthusiastic about this field assessment because this is the first time we receive a LAMEMBA field assessment," he said.

In conclusion, closing the field assessment, Semuel left a message for the study program to always strive to improve its performance. "The arrangement and preparation of this data is not only this year but is ongoing. In the future, we hope that the role of lectur
ers will be further enhanced in the EMBA field, using teaching materials from international business cases, and this will later become a superior value, " he explained.

"The administration and governance have been carried out well. Consistency is needed to support the credibility of the leaders. Business incubators need to improve their services and create many experts according to the concentration in each science," he added.
