Karangmalang, March 19th 2015. Strengthening the collaboration between Yogyakarta State University (YSU) and Infrastructure Univeristy of Kualalumpur (iUKL) Malaysia, Economic Faculty presents a Stadium Generale for Batch 2014 student of Economic Faculty. Assoc. Prof. Seloamoney Palaniady from iUKL motivated students to prepare their future success within global competition. Various attractive challanges is now heading among student both from Indonesia and Malaysia. Technological changes, demographics movement, and workforce become a new potential strength of the nation. Hence, the academic atmosphare have to be improved dramatically. Current students are required to have a global views and specific self competitive advantages. Accordingly global collaboration among different society, culture, and nation is must.

Moderated by Dr. Ratna Chandra Sari, Dr. Selva (nick name of Assoc. Prof. Seloamoney Palaniady) stresses the urgency of joint collaboration between scholars around the world. He offers an annual joint conference of students at least in ASEAN region. The  first round will be held in Kualalumpur at least on December 2015, that support from various University in Malaysia, Thailand, Phillipine, and Indonesia. The next reound may be held in Bangkok, Manila, or Yogyakarta. The Participants is targeted for undergraduat and master students from those countries. These challanges attracted students presented at this stadium generale to make a deeper disscussion with Dr. Selva. Interactive communications motivate leaders of Economic faculty to prepare better programs to  accelerate the international outlook of all department within economic faculty. This atmosphare have to be a responsibility for all faculty members of economic faculty, said Setyabudi Indartono, Ph.D the Management School department head.

The day after, Economic Faculty hosts the joint discussion between graduate students of Yogyakarta State University represent by Keluarga Mahasiswa Pascasarjana UNY (KMP) and graduate student of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). KMP presents 3 speakers: Assoc. Prof. Seloamoney Palaniady from IUKL, Assoc. Prof. Paramasivam Muthu Samy from UPM, and Adi Cilik Pierawan, Ph.D from YSU. Each of them shared their study Ph.D aboad experiences. KMP targetted 20% of KMP members will continue their study to Ph.D level abroad. Mimin Aisyah Nur, M.Si moderated the discussion session of the challanges and opportunities to reach Ph.D degree abroad. This KMP announced that this program will be continue to next session with others speakers abroad to discusse the topics.

Drs. Nurhadi, MM as an vice dean of academic of Economic faculty welcome all parties to joint collaboration with Economic faculty to reach the world class university of YSU. He announced that Economic Faculty will present an international conference in the next April 22nd 2015. The speakers will be from Taiwan, Japan, and the local scholars from Indonesia and profesional practitions.The activity initiated by Setyabudi Indartono, Ph.D is a part of long term academic collaboration for Economic Faculty. It is suggested to increase the area of collaborations.
